Delamin

Cenospheres - Light Weight Additives

Cenospheres are small, high strength, extremely light weight, free flowing, non porous, hollow ceramic spheres comprising of silica, alumina and low pressure gasses (carbon dioxide & nitrogen).  Also known as microspheres, glass beads, glass bubbles, micro balloons or ceramic spheres they are used in a wide range of applications over many industries but primarily as light weight fillers in oilfield, ceramics ,plastics, construction, paints, coatings, automotive, aerospace and Marine.

This natural 100% recyclable product is a result produced by the combustion of coal in thermal power stations.

Delamin has been manufacturing and exporting a range of Cenospheres from its Joint Venture factory in Northern China for more than 10 years.
Known as one of the world’s major exporters of this product from China, Delamin are able to manufacture their cenospheres to specific customer requirements of density, colour and particle size and by utilizing our own extensive data base we are able to select very specific materials for particular applications.

Delamin Cenospheres are available in “High White” and “Standard Grey” covering four particle size distributions.

These generally are:

DELASPHERE “S”
S500,S300,S160 and S106  Standard Grey colour.

DELASPHERE “HW”
HW300, HW160,and HW106  High White colour.

  • Cenospheres with customised particle size distributions engineered to individual customer requirements.
  • Cenospheres exhibiting “high alumina” characteristics.
  • Cenospheres with “low loss on ignition”.
